Please consider the following guidelines in preparing your application to the ROI Seed Fund.

To offer seed funding that will enable ROI Community members to kick-start projects quickly

| Target Projects |
Projects requiring limited seed funds to advance and to gain momentum. Projects can involve content development, feasibility research, pilot events, etc

| Project Stages |
Seed stage, start-up, pilot, early implementation stage, etc. |
| Geographic Scope |
Local, regional, global and virtual |
| Language |
Single and multi-language projects will be considered |
| Themes |
Projects should fall within at least one the following categories:
Service/Tikkun Olam; Arts and Culture; Visions of Israel; Environmentalism; Jewish Education; Bridge Building; New Media; Networking; Internet; Judaism

| Funding Range |
4 Budget Categories:
- up to $2,000
- up to $5,000
- up to $8,000
- up to $10,000 for collaborative projects among ROI members only *
* Intrinsic to the ROI mission is the idea of networking and collaboration among ROI members. Thus, the possibility of receiving a sum of $10,000 will only be awarded to projects involving two or more ROI members

| Funding Terms |
Projects with no prior funding are eligible
Funding partnerships are encouraged, but not required
Funding will be considered for components of a larger project budget that have not yet been funded
Grantees are encouraged to leverage ROI Seed Funds to secure additional funds

Timeline for Seed Fund
July 2nd, 2009 (Midnight EST) - Application deadline.
August 10th, 2009 – Announcement of Grant Committee decisions.
September 25th, 2009 – Complete grant agreements with all recipients.
ROI Seed Fund Commitments
Thank you for your interest in applying to the ROI Seed Fund. By submitting the application form, you are confirming your agreement to the following commitments required of all grant recipients:
To communicate updates and progress specific to the sum received as well as the stage of project development.
- To adhere to the timeline you provide, outlining the progression stages and development of your project.
- To undergo project monitoring and participate in networking and professional development opportunities that will be offered.
- To agree to CLI’s use of details describing you and your project on the ROI website and/or for future PR material.
- To include the ROI grants logo and tagline on your project’s website/project material, as well as a link to the ROI website
By continuing on to the application form, you are acknowledging that you have read and agree to adhere to the commitments above. Once you have read the questions, we strongly encourage you to write your answers using Microsoft Word or a similar program that will allow you to copy and paste your answers into the appropriate boxes. This will ensure that your work does not get lost in the case of Internet failure.
