Taglit-Birthright Israel provides the gift of first time, peer group, educational trips to Israel for Jewish young adults ages 18 to 26. Taglit-Birthright Israel's founders created this program to send thousands of young Jewish adults from all over the world to Israel as a gift in order to diminish the growing division between Israel and Jewish communities around the world; to strengthen the sense of solidarity among world Jewry; and to strengthen participants' personal Jewish identity and connection to the Jewish people.
The Center for Leadership Initiatives, Inc. (CLI), headquartered in Vancouver and Jerusalem, is a private operating foundation dedicated to developing Jewish leaders and promoting managerial excellence throughout the Jewish community. Founded in 2006 through the initial support of Lynn Schusterman, CLI takes a multi-faceted approach to leadership development and professional growth, one that includes conferences, mentorships, fellowships and a host of online resources, all of which are carefully designed to help those who participate translate the knowledge and skills they gain through CLI into greater impact in their communities.
The Charles and Lynn Schusterman Family Foundation is dedicated to helping the Jewish people flourish by supporting programs throughout the world that spread the joy of Jewish living, giving and learning. The Foundation’s core philanthropic agenda is guided by three things: a profound devotion to Judaism and the Jewish people, a deep affection for the citizens of the Schusterman’s hometown of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and the commitment to fulfill the Biblical imperative of tikkun olam (repairing the world). The Foundation’s directors believe that the best way to ensure that the Jewish people thrive –not merely survive – is for the worldwide Jewish community to work cooperatively to strengthen Jewish identity
