New Israel Fund of Canada works with its partner New Israel Fund to strengthen Israel's democracy, promoting freedom, justice, religious pluralism and equality for all Israel's citizens. NIFC suports a wide range of social organizations in Israel, serving communities on the economic and geographic periphery, developing their leadership, facilitating coalitions and empowering the underprivileged with the tools to improve their lives and communities. NIFC also educates Canadians on many of Israel’s challenges and how they are being addressed.

Responsibilities:
• Reports to the Executive Director
• Supports and develops educational outreach and fund development
• Major responsibility for planning and organizing events
• Assists in communication and public relations to donor base and community-at-large, including preparation of written materials
• Provides fundraising support in donor and Foundation research
• Plans and implements new outreach initiatives
• Coordinates administrative oversight for funded projects in Israel
• Potential for other responsibilities (technical, financial and fundraising) dependent on candidate’s areas of expertise and desire for growth

Qualifications:
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Commitment to NIFC mission
• Ability to master and communicate organizational mission and activities
• Ability to recruit, train and motivate volunteers
• Ability to effectively collaborate with other community organizations
• Demonstrated media experience, including new media
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders and donors
• Imaginative, creative and comfortable initiating
• Aptitude for multi-tasking
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Good facility with Web tools, MS Office suite of programs or equivalents
